The sun does not jump when the clock changes
A timetable converts calculated prayer instants into local clock times. Moving the civil clock forward or back changes those labels. The normal day-to-day solar change still occurs, so the displayed difference may be a little more or less than 60 minutes.
GOV.UK lists 28 March and 31 October for the UK's 2027 changes. NIST's US rules place the change on the second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November in observing locations. For New York in 2027, those dates are 14 March and 7 November.

What to check if an app is an hour out
Check the city and its IANA time zone before changing calculation methods. An angle adjustment is not the right way to repair a time-zone mismatch. Also check whether a printed PDF already includes daylight saving; manually adding another hour can double the adjustment.
A night can contain a clock change
Maghrib and the following Fajr can have different UTC offsets. Their printed labels alone are insufficient for dividing the night. Our last-third calculator uses elapsed time between instants and displays both offsets.
Not every city changes its clocks
Do not apply another country's schedule to your location. The examples describe London and New York under the rules currently represented in the site's time-zone database. Future rule changes can require a data update; these examples are not a worldwide change calendar.
