When and how to pay

Pay before the Eid al-Fitr prayer; Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday, 9 March 2027 (Eid prayer times by city). Paying in the last days of Ramadan lets it reach families in time. Give it to people in need where you live unless your mosque or charity distributes it for you.

Zakat al-Fitr is separate from annual zakat on savings: see the zakat calculator in SAR, or amounts in other countries.
